You dont want to use those USB things...
Add your video card first then work your budget around that.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/32KFv you can use that as a guide
As for the SLI / Crossfire its just a simple matter that it does not work in window mode. But if you're going to have more than 4 displays your gonna need a 2nd card People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

So i guess my question is that the only Mobo's that are compatible with the AMD FX series chips only have PCI Express 2.0 slots, so I guess I can still buy a PCI Express 3.0 card and it will be backward compatible and it just won't be as fast as it could on 3.0?
There are AMD boards with PCIe 3.0 but then the price goes up. And yes 3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0. People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

Haha, I would not 100% rely on it but you can mess around with this too.

To Frank Millar: Yeah I can understand that sentiment, but when my Alienware first went down that was the first thing I checked, I went through and checked all the voltages being put out by the PSU and everything was well within tolerances. Granted thats not proof for future operation, but I think for science I'd like to see just how long it'll last Thank you all again!
Only problem you might run into is lack of dedicated 6 or 6+2 pin PCIe plugs. Does your old PSU have those? People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

As this is Eve you should always include how many screens you use and what resolution. Six clients on full is all fine and dandy but is that on six displays or just one or two? People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.
